What does your tyre label tell you?

The EU requires a standard label on new tyres, and it has some useful information on it, if you know what you’re looking at. Introduced in 2012, the standard label for every car tyre, SUV tyre, van tyre, and 4x4 tyre has a range of symbols on it.

In May 2021 further EU regulations were introduced as part of the goal to reach climate neutrality by 2050. It made it simpler to understand efficiency and wet grip performance, grading them from A to E. It also added additional information.
